Curriculum vitae

Born in Brno on 27 December 1981, Martin Vlkovský completed his secondary education at the grammar school in Kapitana Jarose in Brno. He obtained the Bachelor's degree in Logistics Services within National Defence Economics from the University of Land Forces deployed in Vyskov, while the Master's degree in the Czech Armed Forces Logistics module from the University of Defence. In 2010, he obtained his PhD degree in National Defence Economy from the University of Defence. Based on successfully completed habilitation procedure at the Faculty of Military Leadership, he was appointed "docent" (associate professor) degree in Military Management Field from the University of Defence.

His academic engagement began in 2008 in the position of a lecturer of the Department of Logistics under the Faculty of Economics and Management. He has been appointed the leader of the Military Transportation Group within the Department of Logistics, Faculty of Military Leadership since 2020.

He has focused his teaching and research work on the issues of military logistics, aimed at military transport. He is leading researcher of two long-term intentions of organisation development (LANDOPS and INTAL), leading researcher for the University of Defence in KRIZTRANS project (in Transport 2020+ programme) and represents University of Defence to EDA Cat. B – AMLS international project. He is the author of a number of technical publications indexed in WoS/SCOPUS databases. He has been an evaluator for the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic active in ETA programme since 2017 also in Transport 2020+ programme since 2019.

Lieutenant Colonel Martin Vlkovský has been appointed vice-dean for research of the Faculty of Military Leadership since 1 April 2022.

Curriculum vitae

Born on 2 August 1982 in Prerov and having completed the secondary school in Kojetín, Jakub Odehnal graduated from the degree programmes of the Faculty of Economics and Management of the University of Defence and from the Faculty of Economics and Administration of Masaryk University. In 2015, he defended his habilitation thesis titled "Multidimensional Analysis of Defence Expenditures Determinants" in "National Defence Economics" field. He has worked for the University of Defence in the positions of a teacher for the Economics Department and of the vice-dean responsible for curriculum of the Faculty of Military Leadership.

He has engaged in the research focusing on national defence economics publishing in Czech and foreign journals and regularly presenting at international conferences. In the period of his work for the University of Defence, he has contributed to several specific research projects and led the "Long-Term Plan of Organisation Development" project. In 2015, he was a member of SAS-113 NATO working group, in 2016 being an international intern in the USA.

His teaching activities include guarantying a subject for the University of Defence study programme, giving lectures and tutoring the final theses. He has been an outside affiliate for the Faculty of Science of Masaryk University.

Born on 27 February 1983 in Pardubice. He finished his secondary education at the Videnska Grammar School in Brno. Bachelor's and follow-up master's degrees gained at the University of Defence in Brno, in the "Engineer Units Commander" field of study. In 2018, he graduated from the University of Defence's doctoral degree program of the "Military management" field of study of the Faculty of Military Leadership of the University of Defence. At the 151st and 153rd Engineer Battalions, he served as the commander of the EOD platoon, the chief of the Operational Group and the deputy of the Chief of Staff. He held the position of senior lecturer at the Department of Engineer Technology of the Faculty of Military Technology from 2015 to 2017. In 2007 he participated in the foreign operation KFOR in Kosovo and in 2012 in the foreign operation ISAF in Afghanistan.

Since 2020, he has been working at the Department of Engineer Support of the Faculty of Military Leadership as an assistant professor. In his pedagogical and research activities, he focuses on the issue of combat and general engineer support.

Since 1 April 2021, he has been appointed the vice-dean for public relations and development of the Faculty of Military Leadership.
